Day Trip to Hua Hin

Last Tuesday the EIS Social Committee headed over to Hua Hin to check out different resorts to see what were some of the possible places where we could hold our yearly retreat.

So at 7am in the morning a small group of us hopped into the school van and made our way through Bangkok traffic, over the river, not too sad to leave the city behind us.

You would have thought that all we were out to do was check it hotels, but it was more than that. We was more like a drinking, eating, and walking adventure.

Every resort we went to always welcomed us with a drink. We had all sorts of colorful drinks--orange, red, blue, yellow. Some even welcomed us with a cold face towel which was very refreshing! And then there were those that treated us extra special! :).

At one place they served us with a delicious lunch. Then at the next place we had some coffee and tea together with several plates of cookies and tarts. Yum!

But the best of all was our last stop! It was a perfect way to end a day with lots of walking. We were treated to dinner at a poolside with the best food ever! Take a look at what I had :)

I had sautéed mushrooms with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, fish and chips with tartar sauce, sticky rice and mangoes, and a drink called Lemongrass Sling.

Jealous!? I would be. Hehe. It was one heck if a tiring day but also special and memorable.
