Bird's Nest

About once or twice a year, there are these two birds (I'm not sure what kind), that always comes to the back of our house and builds a nest on one of our clothes lines. 

It is so amazing to watch as the nest slowly takes form little by little everyday.  The mommy bird decorates the nest with blue colored string for special touch, and if you take a look inside you'll see a cushion of soft feathers for warmth and comfort.  If you watch, you'll see the daddy bird fly in first, make lots of noise to chase whoever is around away, and once the coast is clear, you'll see the mommy bird zoom in and take over with the next building.

All of us in the house like to take a peek from behind the screen of our back door to catch glimpses of the yellow and black feathered birds.  They are tiny birds with small pointy beaks.  I'm tempted to say they are humming birds, but I'm really not sure. 

We were lucky last year to see one of the baby birds take off on its first flight.  It was scared at first, but with a little coaxing from mommy and dadday it finally flew away on its own.

Now the nest is empty and has actually fallen of the clothesline with only a tiny tip left hanging, but I'm waiting for the birds to come back and build their nest once again.
